9. FIMRO Symposium

“The challenge of the future - less staff and more technology. How can this be reconciled?”

Our 9th FIMRO Symposium took place from November 19th to 20th, 2024, at the Harz Culture and Congress Hotel in Wernigerode. Despite the diverse economic challenges, numerous participants from Germany and abroad attended to learn about the latest developments in die casting, injection molding, and temperature control technology.

Represented companies provided detailed insights into their latest technologies, their ideal applications, and practical solutions for the modern manufacturing of components and assemblies. Notably, two leading automobile manufacturers, BMW and Volvo, presented details of their die-casting production processes and the evolution from pure parts manufacturing to suppliers of complete components and assemblies.

In addition, the TU Dresden showcased a new process for the production of aluminum-plastic composite components, highlighting innovations that improve process efficiency, material performance, and product quality.

The symposium reinforced FIMRO’s role as a leading provider of die-casting solutions, SPM cleaning and testing systems, and manufacturer-independent services, offering participants practical solutions for process optimization, maintenance, and production reliability.
